How To Join

1L STUDENTS

University of Houston Law Center 1L students play an important role in the Advocates program. 1Ls are eligible to compete in all Advocates competitions. Additionally, the John Black Moot Court Competition is limited to teams comprised of only 1Ls. Each section also elects two Advocates Section Representatives to serve on the Board of Advocates and assist with event publicity, competitor signups, as well as act as in-round bailiffs during competitions.

2L AND 3L STUDENTS

University of Houston Law Center 2L and 3L students are eligible to compete in all competitions except the John Black Moot Court Competition. 2Ls and 3Ls may also serve as an Executive or Associate Board Member on the Board of Advocates. 2Ls and 3Ls who serve on the Board of Advocates are eligible to receive course credit for their service. MEMBERSHIP SIGN-UP

Below is a list of the membership fees.  Once you pay, your membership will last until you graduate or cease enrollment at UHLC. Click the desired level of membership below and check out using PayPal.  Keep your confirmation number from Paypal handy, as you will need it.  After check-out is completed, use your confirmation number to fill out the Google form below.  Thanks again, and welcome to the Advocates!
